Yet another sad day for the Australian music scene with the passing of Jay Curley, bass player with Tumbleweed (and others). I saw them support Nirvana at The Phoenician Club in ‘92, in the good ‘ol days when gigs weren’t as commercial and regulated as they are now. RIP Jay.
A belated vale to the great Johnny Rebb, who passed away late last month. Beginning his career singing country and western, he stepped out in front of the mighty The Atlantics during the 60’s, putting his strong vocal stamp on a few tracks including this certified garage beat legend - “Come On”. RIP Johnny.
